Law firm appoints four new partners for Middle East and North Africa.
Commercial law firm Clyde &Co has announced the appointment of four new partners to its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team.
Rob Lawrence has been promoted to partner of the Dubai-based Middle East shipping practice, having been at the firm since 2006.
The MENA corporate group welcomes Ross Barfoot and Rhys Lewis, who bring the number of regional corporate partners to 12. Barfoot joins the firm’s Abu Dhabi office from Trowers & Hamlins where he spent five years advising on corporate advisory, private equity, restructuring and M&A work. Lewis joins from Holman, Fenwick Willan, where he specialised in deals involving defence and security firms.
In the aviation finance team, Sidanth Rajapagol has been brought in as partner from the firm’s Indian associated firm, Clasis Law. He specialises in the financing, leasing and purchasing of aircraft engines.
