Kazakh lender mandates three banks for international offering.

Kazakhstan’s Halyk Bank is considering issuing an international eurobond later in the year.

The bank began a global roadshow this week. It has mandated Deutsche Bank, Citi and Halyk Finance, its investment banking arm, as arrangers and bookrunners for the potential deal.

Last year, Halyk chairperson Umut Shayakhmetova told EMEA Finance that the bank had grown during the downturn thanks to a “flight to quality” from depositors – Halyk has grown from the third-biggest bank in Kazakhstan to the second.
