US$170mn bond is bank’s second Turkish deal.

VTB Capital has placed a 300mn Turkish lira (US$170mn) bond on the Istanbul Stock Exchange. The two-year paper carries a coupon of 3.89%. Garantibank acted as bookrunner.

This is VTB Capital’s second such deal. In April last year the bank placed a three-year, 300mn lira bond issue, making it the first international issuer to place a local currency bond in Turkey.
