MegaFon opens book on rouble bonds

Russian telco to place two series of bonds for corporate purposes and debt refinancing.

MegaFon, a Russian telecoms company that completed a US$1.7bn IPO in London and Moscow last year, has opened the book on subscriptions for two series of 10-year rouble-denominated bonds.

Each series has a principle amount of up to RUB10bn (US$326mn), with a coupon range anticipated to be between 8% and 8.25%. The money raised will be used for general corporate purposes, including refinancing debt.

Raiffeisenbank, Sberbank CIB and VTB Capital are acting as lead managers. Sberbank CIB is placement agent.
