Emerging markets telecoms firm issues 7-year bond.
Millicom, an emerging-markets-focused telecoms firm, has placed a 7-year bond worth US$500mn. The money will go towards refinancing and general corporate purposes.
Standard Bank and JP Morgan acted as joint global coordinators and were joined by BNP Paribas in the role of joint bookrunner.
Millicom serves 45mn customers in six sub-Saharan African countries as well as Latin America. It is publicly listed on Sweden’s Nasdaq OMX stock exchange.
