Turkish bank gets €75mn loan to lend on to small businesses.
Turkey’s Garanti Bank has secured a €75mn (US$100mn) loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
The six-year facility will give the bank new funds to lend to small and medium-sized businesses.
Last month Garanti Bank’s Romanian subsidiary issued its first local bond, raising RON300mn (US$90.9mn) and allowing it to lend more in local currency.
