PATRIZIA sets up shop in MENA

The global real estate investment manager has hired JC Klein to launch a regional office, with a view to taking advantage of a new wave of opportunities in the GCC.

In November, the real estate investment management firm PATRIZIA announced the appointment of Jan-Christoph (JC) Klein as its new head of global client solutions for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Klein will be based in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, where he will preside over a new regional office.

With more than 20 years of capital markets experience, Klein has a strong track record as an investment manager. Starting out as a research analyst in Germany, he moved on to spend 10 years at Credit Suisse, before joining Blackstone and PJT Park Hill as a managing director. There, he focused on capital raising for real assets, private equity, and private debt.

He also co-founded an independent capital advisory firm, eXapital, before selling his stake to his two partners. Most recently, he served as managing director of Lakestar, a pan-European early-stage investor across the tech industry.
