Bostandjiev joins VTB Capital

New international CEO named following Moos’ promotion.

VTB Capital, a Russian investment bank, has appointed Atanas Bostandjiev as chief executive of its international business outside of Russia.

He takes the role with immediate effect, replacing Herbert Moos following his promotion to chief financial officer of the parent group.

Bostandjiev is responsible for developing and implementing VTB Capital’s strategy, including launching new products, in Asia, MENA, the Americas and Europe outside of Russia and the CIS. He reports to Yuri Soloviev, VTB Capital’s president.

He joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was a partner responsible for its emerging market client business in CEEMEA. Prior to this he held senior sales management positions at Merrill Lynch in London.
