BNY Mellon names global markets CEO

Arthur Certosimo takes new role leading FX and capital markets work.

BNY Mellon has named Arthur Certosimo as CEO of global markets, leading the company’s foreign exchange, capital markets and derivatives trading businesses.

Certosimo succeeds Richard Mahoney, who is retiring at the end of June. 

Certosimo vacates his role as CEO of alternative, broker-dealer and treasury services, in which he oversaw hedge fund and derivatives servicing, securities clearance, collateral management and treasury services. Brian Ruane becomes CEO of alternative and broker-dealer services.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 1998, Certosimo held senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Chase Manhattan.
