RBS hires new GTS head

Scott Barton promoted to lead trade services division.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Scott Barton as CEO of its global transaction services (GTS) division.

Barton’s promotion comes after 16 years with RBS, most recently as CEO of its large corporates division.

He will report to Chris Sullivan, CEO of RBS’s corporate banking division.

Alongside the promotion, Richard Hemsley has been appointed as the GTS chief operating officer, reporting to Barton.
