Burkeman joins management while Capstick gets new role.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has hired Charlotte Burkeman as its managing director and co-head of EMEA prime brokerage alongside Sean Capstick.

The bank has also expanded Capstick’s responsibilities to include running the EMEA equity research sales.

Burkeman and Capstick will be responsible for developing the bank’s global markets prime brokerage offering in the region. They will report to John Addis, head of EMEA global markets financing and futures.

Burkeman, who takes up her new post in June, joins from UBS where she was head of EMEA prime brokerage and co-head of EMEA prime services. She began her career at Goldman Sachs.

In August Capstick left Deutsche Bank, where he was co-head of European global prime finance sales and global head of hedge fund capital, to join BAML. Prior to Deutsche, he held senior positions across the sales teams of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in New York and London.
