South African financial services group Old Mutual has named Patrick O’Sullivan as its new chairman. He replaces Chris Collins, who retired on December 31.
O’Sullivan left Zurich Financial Services in April 2009 after 11 years with the group. He had been vice chairman since March 2007, looking after the group’s international businesses, including South Africa.
Since April 2009 he has been chief operating officer of retail for Asia and Latin America at Switzerland’s Cofra Group.
Earlier in his career, he worked for Bank of America and Goldman Sachs.
