Middle Eastern law firm appoints new divisional heads to drive growth.

Al Tamimi & Company, a law firm operating in the Middle East, has appointed Stephen Forster as head of office, Tara Marlow as head of property and hospitality and Khaled Al Hayyas as a new associate in its Abu Dhabi office. The office now comprises four partners and 20 associates.

Forster joins the firm from Hassans, the largest law firm in Gibraltar, and previously spent more than 15 years as a partner at leading City of London firm CMS Cameron McKenna. He has over 25 years of corporate finance, M&A, projects and infrastructure experience and has acted on projects in the UK, Holland, Scandinavia, Central Europe, Gibraltar and the Far East.

As head of the Abu Dhabi office, Forster will ensure the firm capitalises on the growth of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi, as the emirate develops as a commercial hub for the region.

Marlow has rejoined the firm as head of the property and hospitality practice. She was previously vice-president of the legal division at the hotel arm of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, Dubai’s largest retail and hotel property developer, where she was responsible for the legal function supporting a hotel and residence development and asset management portfolio of some 3,500 rooms across the MENA region.

Associate Al Hayyas joins from law firm Bu Jseem and specialises in commercial and penal labour law.
