Merchant bank expands emerging markets fixed-income business.

London-based merchant bank Heritage Capital has made four new appointments to its capital markets group in emerging markets fixed-income sales and research.

James Paton, formerly of HSBC, has joined the bank’s Singapore office as managing director responsible for Asia sales. Catherine Blanc, formerly of Barclays Wealth, has joined the London team to head its emerging markets fixed-income research division. Raul Vidal, formerly of ING, has joined Heritage Capital Latin America to focus on Latin American debt capital markets coverage. Finally, Raji Khoury, formerly of Credit Suisse, has joined the firm as associate director in fixed-income sales covering the Middle East.

These appointments follow Niels Nooy joining the team in London as managing director and head of emerging markets trading for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, together with three new senior directors during the first quarter.
