Mizuho makes fixed-income appointments

Bank bolsters division with hires from State Street and Barclays Capital.

Mizuho International has made several appointments in its fixed income division.

Graham Halliday has been named managing director and head of fixed income trading.
Halliday has spent more than 15 years with the Mizuho Group including trading cash and derivatives, credit and rates, working in London, Tokyo and New York.

Renato Giust has joined as director of European government trading, and will report to Halliday. He joins from State Street Global Markets where he was head of European government bond trading.

Finally, Sam Morton joins as director of credit research, also reporting to Halliday. Morton covers telecoms, media and technology and joins from Barclays Capital where he was a credit analyst covering high-grade corporates and TMT.
