World Bank’s private-sector arm promotes LatAm/Caribbean director to new post.
The IFC has appointed Jean Philippe Prosper as vice-president of sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prosper will be based in Johannesburg, from where he’ll oversee the IFC’s investment and advisory operations in 79 countries.
He was previously the organisation’s director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Between 2008 and 2012 he was director for Eastern and Southern Africa and a co-director of the Africa department.
