Russian investment bank names new head of global markets for Asia Pacific.
VTB Capital, the investment-banking arm of Russia’s VTB Bank, has appointed Dimitrios Kavvathas as head of global markets for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
Kavvathas joins from Goldman Sachs, where he was promoted to partner in 2008 and held several senior positions, as well as sitting on the board of directors of Goldman Sachs, Asia LLC. He is also an adjunct professor to the School of Economics and Finance at the University of Hong Kong.
