UK bank names new chief economist.
The UK's TSB Bank has hired David Fenton as its new chief economist.
Fenton joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was senior economist, analysing how the economic environment affected corporate customers and small businesses
At TSB he'll be responsible for providing analysis to senior management on economic issues impacting the business. He'll be based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and report to Candy Gil, the bank's director of planning, reporting and analysis.
Prior to working at RBS, Fenton worked at accounting and consultancy firm Ernst & Young as a finance executive responsible for public and private sector clients working on private finance Initiative and public-private partnership deals.
