South African banking group names new chairman.
South African banking group Nedbank has named Vassi Naidoo its new chairman.
Naidoo will take the post in May when incumbent Dr Reuel Khoza leaves after a nine-year term. He will also join the board of Nedbank’s Old Mutual subsidiary as a non-executive director.
Naidoo joins from advisory firm Deloitte in London, where he held roles including chief executive of Deloitte Southern Africa, deputy managing partner of Deloitte EMEA and most recently vice-chairman of Deloitte UK.
