Strand Hanson chairman joins Renaissance

Robert Hanson becomes first international board member.

Renaissance, a Moscow-based investment group, has appointed the first member of its international advisory board.

Robert Hanson, chairman of investment boutique Strand Hanson, will advise the bank on investments, transactions and strategic issues. He is well known to Renaissance’s directors as the group is a shareholder in Strand Hanson.

Hanson says that he is joining one of the “most exciting” investment firms in the emerging world. “I share the group’s vision and passion for emerging markets where, I believe, Renaissance is already one of the leading players.”

Renaissance’s chief executive, Stephen Jennings, adds that the group will benefit from Hanson’s advice and strategic vision. “Robert is a respected and sophisticated international investor with experience in many different countries.”
